Hello, fellow trippers! The canoe/life partner and I have been on a magical adventure for a good part of August in our favourite canoe-tripping destination, Temagami. I've completed a write-up of the first six days... more to follow soon!

Yayyyy, finally! We took our new canvas hot tent out this past weekend to Algonquin Provincial Park. It was rather chilly but we survived with fingers and toes intact. Here's the report! https://canoecrew.wordpress.com/2016/02/20/forty-below-zero/

This one was a doozy. What was planned as an easy "front-country" trip to Rain Lake in Algonquin ended up being much more adventurous than we believed possible.

Soooooo, we went out this weekend to Algonquin Park and this happened. Drove up Friday night, camped at the "jump off" site at the Rain Lake access point. Packed up Saturday to make sure we could make it out on the forest access/logging road. Drove out 20km, determined we were okay, turned...

We were blessed with perfect weather of driving rain and 5C temperatures as we set out, but after all was said and done we had a great first time in Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park a few weekends ago. Hope you enjoy the report!
