You can fill in the rotted areas with something like "JB Weld 8257CAN KwikWood Wood Repair ", it is an epoxy product, so it will require UV protection on top. Just dig out all the rot and fill/shape. The rest of the gunnels can just be sanded back, followed by a few coats of a good marine...

I couldn't find much on the recoat times for Raka, what I did find suggested 24 hours as a max ... not that it matters much, having a recoat window longer than an hour is a big advantage. Where did the 72 hour window info come from ... this potentially is another epoxy for me to purchase. Brian
