On the Eastmain, between the Tichegami & the Moon - sometime last week.
I spent July in my office doing paperwork. Nowleye-Kunwak-Kazan, Nunavut.

I bought a Hilleberg specifically for these northern trips. And all other tents were Hillebergs.in this conditions - Hilleberg rules!

Lake Kanawauke, Harriman S.P., NY-- first lake (Little Long Pond). I needed an excuse to try my newly made paddle:
Campers from the YMCA camp at the other end of the third lake cleared the beaver dam so I could get through...
... into the second lake...
... and in into the third lake. In front of me under the trees is a small nature museum run by the Park, near the public parking area:
Farther down the third lake is the island where my girlfriend and I camped the night before she met my parents for the first time, 40 years ago. Because of or despite this she married me anyway.
At the far end is the YMCA camp, where our daughter and son in law work. I visited for awhile, picked up some mail, and paddled back, no pictures on the return. About 2 miles each way. A good morning. I love being retired.

It calmed down a little--the others got to sleep until 6am! (I was already up.) We still had to do a surf launch.For me, you bet
