Has anyone used the new ZRE "Revolution" paddle blade? If so, do you have an opinion as to how it compares to the Power Surge blade and original Z blade?

The ZRE webpage says about this blade: "Our newest and most efficient blade to date designed by Bob Zaveral and tested by Serge Corbin. The Revolution blade is 1” shorter than the Power Surge model and sports edges that curl up to form more of a pocket while the tip is still curved for a smooth water entry. The technology behind the Revolution blade results in quieter water entry and a smoother exit while the reinforced edges are less likely to crack, chip or splinter than previous designs."

Sounds like a copy of what GRB developed 2-3 years ago. I have one of these from GRB, but don't notice a lot of difference from their standard flat blade carbon bent paddle. Maybe I am not using it exactly correctly. Due to the very slightly cupped curvature, I think it makes more exit splash on recovery, but no noticeable effect on catch entry and it does not drag air down with it either.

Could you post its weight? The GRBs are less expensive than ZREs but I suspect they weigh more than the ZRE pro lights.
Watch Kevin's review video in the link on the web page I posted. He shows the paddle weighs just 10 ounces. He also makes note of what I noted in that at the exit to the recovery it lifts more water than a flat blade, and he also likes the catch, as I mentioned In my experience. Good on the price too. I saw both Gene and John Newman this weekend at a short race on the Oswegatchie River. John looks good, but unfortunately Gene was in an electric wheelchair. Sorry to say that he stopped racing two years ago.
