We’re doing the Tatshenshini in a little over a month and are having trouble finding information on what size canoe we can fit in a single engine otter (wheels, not floats). The pilot thinks they can get a 14’ hardshell in but isn’t 100% sure. This is on the fly out, so we’d really like to know beforehand if it’ll work. So if you’ve shoved a canoe inside an otter before, let me know what kind you’ve gotten in there. Thanks in advance!

Turbo-Otter?
We had three 17ft canoes inside when we flew with BlackSheep. Will depend on how many seats they have in. We had to take decks, seats and thwarts off to nest two of the canoes.

My memory from 96 is fading when we flew with Black Sheep but we had three canoes in a Turbo Otter. 17 foot and two nested.. Same for the thwarts and seats.. had to be removed.
