That doesn't really have anything to do with canoeing.
But - it has to do with the question of existence and where I come from, how they did it back then, and above all, how they managed to do it.

 
Thanks Kahel the Draken is an amazing ship. She visited here in Maine and I have been aboard her, and the captain gave a very nice lecture that evening at the local boat building school. The scale of the timbers was impressive.

I watched the first episodes you posted and am looking forward to watching the second set, where they embark on their voyage. What an undertaking! And the historical context really kept my attention.

What do you mean? I distinctly heard one of the crew mention how it was like taking a "giant canoe" through the Caledonia canal and lock system. ;)
 
Yes, I was also completely captivated by this documentary - so much so that I watched both parts back-to-back.
