If anyone is a disbeliever or wants to know more about steaming in bags, the shipbuilders at Acorn to Arabella are doing a lot of it as they make progress on their sailing vessel.

I've done it with great success. My only b*tch was when I ordered from Uline(?) I had to order 1500' of the size sleeve I needed. At 40$ it wasn't a deal breaker. And BTW Fitz it was you who introduced me to this method!

I steamed some ribs recently with the bag method, for the first time with great success. I too tried it because of Fitz’s approval of this method of steaming.
Now if I could only get the courage to try upside down canvassing like you do Fitz I would be a happy camper.

I have read somewhere (here?) that folk use vacuum preserving bags cut to desired length. Avoiding the minimum purchase of 1500' from places like uline. I have not compared pricing though.
