Saranac Lake NY. They are on a back street(Dorsey St..across from the river) and it takes a bit of ferreting to find. They also have a rental location in the St Regis Canoe Area.

What I like is their selection of Adirondack maps and canoe camping related items like bags and barrels for extended canoe trips. They have some tents and stoves in the store plus paddling jackets boots etc. Not so much a parts store as Blue Mountain Outfitters.

+1. I've rented from them a couple times, and they got my truck shuttled when and where it was supposed to be. Would rent from them again if I needed a canoe (at least until I can afford my own PBW Rapidfire!) I also like the Paddler's Map Dave Cilley put together, and appreciate the public input they gather from Adirondack Forum to update it.
