Selling this Northern Light Solo I picked up a few years ago and brought back to life. I found something a little newer, longer, and leaner. It was kinda rough when I got my hands on it. The previous owner patched a crack in the stern and filled a few gouges and just spray-painted over them. Wood carrying handles, thwarts and seat drop are brand new, the seat/yoke and railed were stripped, sanded, recaned, and spar urethaned by me. I sanded the hull down and repainted with 3 coats of Petit Topside EZpoxy. I used a filler primer in a few spots to smooth out some nicks. I put some KeelEazy strips on the bow and stern for protection, and while the stern seems to be holding up well, the one on the bow has bubbled out on the sides, probably from winter paddling, idk. Aside form the one KeelEazy strip, the craft is in good shape overall and Im pretty proud of the way it turned out.
Performance-wise, its a solo freighter for sure. Designed to carry a ton of gear and handles nicely when trimmed out with a load, but can be a weather vane when empty.

Nice looking canoe. You might want to be sure the outdoor program folks at Cornell, TC3 and SUNY Cortland know about this. My guess is you'll find an interested buyer.

That's all for now. Take care, best of luck with your sale and until next time...be well.
