safety review??

"Don't drive after the sun sets in moose country....:eek:"

This was a bit of a joke as I hit one two years ago heading north to Greenstone.
When its your time to hit one, there is nothing you can do to prevent it. I was driving much slower than the speed limit, head lights were great etc..... It was the blinding lights of an 18 wheeler coming the other direction that did not let me see the moose that came from his side until it was 2 feet from my drivers side bumper.
In Ontario during paddle season, the sun is up til 10:00 up North. Very temping to push it a bit longer than you should. Last year I stopped at 8:00 and then made the final push early the next morning. There are more Moose than people in "the North". I'm just saying If you can avoid driving at night, by all means do so.
