As we always have a lot of candles burning during the "dark season", we also have a lot of leftover candle wax.
It's a shame to throw it all away!
So I collect the leftover wax and recycle it.

The same goes for the empty cat food tins and the cardboard boxes sent by Amazon, eBay and so on.

All together they make wonderful tin candles that I always like to take with me to camp and which then provide a nice, warm ambience next to a campfire or similar.

Maybe it's the first name... Mike McCrae used to make some pretty big ones.

Thanks for that idea and nice pics, I agree, the fire iin the can idea was ok for base camping but not practical for tripping.
