I’ve been looking for support gloves for my achy breaky hands. After buying several crappy pairs, I found these 1.5mm NRS Guide Gloves. I bought a size down which help. They stretch out a little after a week of wear, but are comfortable and effective keeping me from hurting myself shoveling snow or drinking coffee. Should be perfect for paddling. They do get smelly so I bought extra pairs.

After wearing the medium size for therapeutic reasons I went back and bought a large pair, which is my normal size. After trigger finger surgery next week, I will likely want a normal fit.

If you have old hands, this might be the key.

PS - don’t bother with the cheap fabric ones with elastic or rubber bands glued across the palm. They are crap.

having broke most of my fingers at one time or another (rock climbing will do that) I long ago started developing arthritis in several joints, for several years now I've used no- name fingerless gloves designed for fishing, they're about 2mm neoprene except on the palms, which are doubled. Cold weather paddling and ice fishing used to be painful- these have basically eliminated that.
they were about $15, but I noticed they've gone up to close to $20 now, but are still a decent low cost alternative
