I plan on using like a paddle, although the gun sock thing sounds reasonable. This paddle is called the WHITEWATER paddle. If it don't hold up then I guess I'm not in on the joke. I can always tote my old BB Explorer as a backup. Heavy, but sturdy, and that epoxy edge takes a lot of punishment. I use a rack in my trailer to haul paddles. May need to improve it.
