Got my Old Town canoe today. A sticker on the wrapping said Made In Taiwan?

Maybe the wrapping was made in Taiwan

At a solo canoe event I heard some informed veterin builders say that it was a good thing that the bulkyness of canoes made it impractical to ship them from China. I recall that Colmans were designed to be shipped nestled without there internal frame work installed.
