These are pictures from a couple solo trips I did this summer.

These are pictures from two solo kayak trips this summer in Kejimkujic National Park, Nova Scotia, Canada. I like to get a couple trips each year away from everything. My work, while part time, is demanding. I deal with some difficult situations as a detention guard and firefighter. The woods is good for the mind.

I did these trips in my 14 foot Petryl Play. Great boat, but a challenge to carry enough gear for a couple nights. I’m building a Kite solo canoe over the winter to use for these trips next year.

Thanks for taking the time to post those pictures. That's a beautiful boat and a paddling destination I wasn't aware of. Looks like a nice place.

But, in the future, please limit postings to canoes only. This forum has always been dedicated to canoes and we try to keep it that way. There are many kayak discussion boards so we're trying to keep one little corner of canoe purity in this big old crazy internet.

I look forward to seeing your Kite come together and trip reports made with it. It was the first cedar strip hull I built and led me down a rabbit hole of many more.

That's a beautiful craft. I'm only ever in a poor plastic facsimile; family day paddling only. Wilder coasts would be a dream.
But yeah, I come here to CT for the canoe tripping only. A lot of changes since the early days, but still a good tripping site.
