Hello from Brittany!!!

Hello everyone!

I am Vincent, from Brittany in France !

I am planning on on a educationnal trip to the arctic floe next year, more infos on www.rennespolenord.com.

The main mean of transport is a kind of rowing boat that can be pulled by kites as well. To resist to the journey on the ice, the boat will be made of basalt-innegra.

I understood americans and canadians have a strong experience on this material!

Also I have joined this forum to seek advice on it (scantlings, process of construction, dealers... )

Welcome! I'm not a boat builder so you'll need to wait a bit longer to get any advice but I'm sure you'll hear from some of the more able builders on the site.
