We used our Michigan-style and bear paw rawhide snowshoes in some fresh, fluffy lake effect snow on top of a somewhat firmer base. Some ice fishermen were on the lake. The dog was plowing snow with her chest and is resting comfortably by the fire now. This is winter as it's supposed to be.
