New Years tradition in my family of friends, as is with many, includes the singing of For Auld Lang Syne. Most of us are too old to make it to midnight so the clocks are turned ahead three hours for a pretend celebration. I am late with this post because I fell asleep, but again, I'll pretend the ball has just dropped and share my favorite verse of the song.

We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.
