Today was the first blooming of a patch of Canada Lilies, Lilium canadense. I have watched this patch for about 12 years, I found them in a stand of Knotweed so dense my Lab won't go into it to retrieve his ball.
Two years ago I started hammering the knotweed every couple of weeks. Last year I hit it a little hard and this year I use my string trimer on the Knotweed every other day.
It's all paid off with these blossoms.
