Well, after many, many trip reports posted to my blog, I have cast aside my luddite leanings and attempted to create a canoe trip video. And guess what I learnt? IT AIN'T EASY! Yep...there's a learning curve there, folks.
On the long weekend in May, I completed a 4-day, 63-kilometre trip starting and ending at Morrison Landing on the Severn River. I would portage into the Upper Gibson River from the Severn and run that bony bugger into Gibson Lake, where I would head up Hungry Creek into Six Mile Lake and eventually back up to the Severn through Lost Channel. Blackflies and boat wakes, indeed! But also pockets of gorgeous wilderness and some stunning waterfalls.
