McCrea, you obviously know nothing about film! The panning away at the critical moments was for the deliberate purpose of being less graphic and getting a PG-13 rating. Besides, the imagination is far more powerful than simply showing the actual fish. Either that or I was getting blown around as I tried to remotely control the camera which was tripod mounted in the front of the canoe.
That heron wasn't going to give up his fishing spot for you, was he? Judging by the bow you got pretty close.
I got very close! I thought it was weird that it didn't fly off when I got within about a canoe length, but it was sneaking up on the fish and would not be distracted!
