I grew up in Grand Rapids and traveled the Big Fork River a lot and still have a deer shack near Little Fork. Moved to Alaska in 69. I hang around Yukon Territory mush of the summer to escape Alaska's excessive tourism. My avatar shows why.

There is a lifetime of paddling adventures in North America.
I worked at Fisherman's Terminal in Seattle on the commercial fishing fleet. Most of the workers are Norwegian, My friend used to take me to the Swedish American club. I have worked with a few Finns over the years and they were all smart and really funny. I liked them all.
