Finds on other ad lists "lead me not into temptation"

The bit of visible deck looks Chestnutty. Full keel too. First cant rib is thin like a Chestnut as well.

It isn't a 1920 boat, maybe WW2 era or newer. If he dun't know what it is, how can he know it is so old?

Looks nice , but I'm done with the big wood canvas canoes, I sold the 17' Prospector cause I knew it would do my back in. Plus, the paint job was too pretty for my tastes.
I have one big canoe left, and that's the 16' Chestnut Pal, needs a good going over but is still seaworthy.
I have my tripping canoe, the 15' Chestnut Chum and another Chum which is this winters project, plus a 15' Chestnut Bobs that's finished, not a great paint job so it fits my needs as a user.
oh, and a couple of mad River Royalex boats....no more BIG canoes.

Sold the 17'? I would have taken that off your hands in a heartbeat! Bummer.

Never mind the UFO. The same guy has an early Morris , ser #1101. It's a bit rough but he wants $250.
