Wow, ca me donnerais une raison d'aller en France autre que de visiter le Louvre... I'll switch to the language of office.... How many portages and how easy it is to find camping spots?

Salut Tom!

WowI Details please...

"New Prospector 16" in wood/canvas...what make?

And the Loire- excellent choice. I know the area Orleans to Nantes fairly well- especially fond of Chinon and Saumur. Some of the best wine country in the world and lots of history. Cool trip.

Very envious.

Bruce

Thaaaaat would be pretty sweet Tom. Your canoe looks right at home there.

A long 20 day trip see more, take pictures and video. All in harmony with this stunning nature we have.
For those who will come to France Welcome to the house.
I know Quebec well I'm there.
The Loire is magnificent a river, both wide and narrow, deep and without water, to discover, with magnificent castles

Hello Gérald, no I never do canoe in Quebec damage, but I miss much by the landscapes that if the size of the country, I have spent twice, I hope to return one day.

Hi Tom, I look forward to your trip in September. It will be incredible. May I ask questions?
Will you visit the villages and towns on the river?
Are you going to camp each night?
Do you prepare each meal in camp, and what do you eat?
Your equipment is traditional from the 1900's Canada and USA; do you also use other traditional equipment to make fire, cook food, sleep etc.?
Are you alone in this interest in traditional canoe travel in France?
Thank you Tom for sharing your canoe trip plans.
