Connecticut River Paddlers Trail - Campsite Registry

Planning a trip next weekend on the Connecticut River. I just went to the Connecticut River Paddler Trail site to put some sites in the campsite registry, but couldn't find it. Is it gone?

I know nothing was guaranteed and not everyone used it, but it was still nice to have.

I think they removed it, at least for sites here in the Upper Valley (holler if that's where you're going). Haven't noticed it for a while.

Yes - we are probably going to do Woodsville to North Thetford.

Put-in - Woodsville Access (NH)
First Night - Harkdale Farm Campsite (VT) – 9 miles
Second Night - Underhill Campsite (NH) – 13 miles
Third Night - Roaring Brook Campsite (VT) – 10 miles
Take out - North Thetford Landing (VT) – 2 miles

We have used the Woodsville access and those three campsites before, but have never taken out at Thetford. Assume there is no issues leaving cars there for a few nights.

I am going with a couple of guys who are still working, so we will be out Saturday to Tuesday. Still, I can't imagine there will be others out over the weekend to compete for campsites. What do you think.

I don't think you'll have any trouble staging vehicles at the N Thetford Landing. Should be fine as far as anyone messing with them. When I've parked there overnight in the past I've always let the local PD know just as a courtesy, which also gives me a little more peace of mind anticipating that they'll keep an eye out. As for campsite competition, can't say. Its that time of year when folks try to get out while they still can. And its leaf peeper season.

At least there are some campsite options on this section if our preferred site is occupied. Howard Island or Horse Meadow upstream of Harkdale Farm. Vaughan Meadow (although we paddled right by is last time we were there) upstream of Underhill. Birch Meadow upstream of Roaring Brook. We’ll see.

The CT Paddlers Trail website says to leave a note in car if you leave it overnight at N Thetford Landing, but I think I would rather tell police.
