Post pictures of canoe things as depicted in paintings, sketches, statues, sculpture, or architectural structures. Not photographs.

This is a painting of a solo canoeist in the BWCA by Les Kouba called Canoe Country, reportedly inspired by a photo given to Kouba by Calvin Rustrum. The narrow wake trail behind the paddle makes me think the paddler is ruddering.

Nice one Glenn, I see a lot of similarities to our header image, sitting way back with those heavy packs upfront.

I like the old ammo art by Winchester and Remington featuring canoes.
The OT Guide 18 has been white for 30f years. I used to draw images with Sharpies. For the Upper Missouri R in MT Charlie Russell's signature buffalo skull.

John Pike, "Lake Lure". A friend inherited it and was going to toss it. I sure couldn't let her do that even though I don't have room to hang it, so now it sits leaning against the wall in a closet with all the other extra art in the house.

As the youngest member of our 7 person family, I had to sleep in the attic of our old farmhouse, a 1736 stone farmhouse in rural Pennsylvania. In addition to my bed, the attic was a repository for all the little-used or discarded stuff in the family. Among those ephemera were stacks of LL Bean catalogs going waaayyy back in time because my Dad was an avid camper and fisherman. I spent lots of time poring over those catalogs wishing for Bean boots, wool shirts & pants, camping gear etc. The covers, which were all art rather than photos at that time, provided me with fodder for lots of mental adventures. This cover would have been typical of the subject matter- and frankly, still appeals to me!
