Canada Sesquicentennial Paddle

2017 is Canada's sesquicentennial (150). Who's planning to paddle some segment of the Voyageur's routes?

Thanks Peach, I too hadn't kept track of how young our country is. I'll have to start planning.

I was in Pembroke, Ontario on the Ottawa River for the Centennial back in 1967, pretty impressive watching those guys perform for the crowd in those big canoes. I would think that was around late July but I'm not sure. I'll make an effort to be there next year for sure.

Should we plan a gathering??? Maybe somewhere centrally located like say....Red Lake;-)

in talks about doing the yukon river quest again…but also have someone looking into organizing the Mackenzie river...hmmm time will tell...
