Better Audio for your next Video

A lot of people like to shoot video on their canoe/kayak trips, but getting good sound quality with a camera's built-in mic can be problematic at times. If your camera has a mic-in jack, then you can plug in a microphone, but this is impossible if you are using a GoPro or Contour camera, as these are housed in waterproof housings. The solution is to record your audio on a seperate device..this is known as double-system sound, which is a technique used in big budget films. I've put together a short video that explains how we record audio when using our GoPro camera.

Wow, a superb and concise how-to video from you two. Thanks for explaining this remote mic business so clearly. I'm also encouraged to learn that audio/video can be shot with favourable results with point and shoot equipment.

Really a great tutorial video, and this one more far better then the cam with problematic mics
