I recently picked up a Ripplefx paddle and put my angle finder on it and found it to measure about 7 degrees. I’ve noticed on some of my other bent shafts have the same measurements with the factor specs saying they are built 12 degrees as well.
Would someone here be able to explain how these angles are measured?

Good question! I just measured the blade angle of a Zaveral Medium paddle using a crude plastic protractor and get around 12 degrees but it's a very rough measurement. I'll have to think of a way to more accurately measure blade angle.

Doh! You are right, I was reading the wrong part of the scale! I guess I should have come here asking for advice on reading my angle finder! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Sedges! Thank goodness for the anonymity of the internet, I’m such a dolt!
Side note - the new Ripplefx paddle is a beauty, only 4 months till I get to give it a go!
