I am going to try to post this trip report again. Here goes.
I was getting ready to make some reservations to go canoe camping in the Okefenokee Swamp when an old paddling buddy got in touch and asked if I was interested on spending a couple of days on the Suwannee River. Looking at the USGS river gauge I saw that the flow rate at Fargo GA was around 550 C.F.P.S. (which was more than our last two river trips combined). Several texts back and forth and what started out as a 3 day trip quickly turned into a 5 day trip.
Day 1
We met at the American Canoe Adventures www.aca1.com in White Springs, FL at 5:30 pm for our shuttle service ($100 for the two of us to go from White Springs, FL to Fargo, Ga). After loading up/driving/unloading and packing boats we finally got on the Suwannee River around 7:30 pm. Plan was to paddle about 10 miles and find a campsite. We were supposed to have an hour and a half till dark with a full moon.

As with most plans this one quickly changed with less than an hour of daylight and could hardly see 100 feet because the rain clouds were blocking the moon. At least we didn
