Yes sikaflex stays more flexible than most similar products. Jim

I like that paint color and I’ve always sealed and painted the underside of the gunnels as you did. Paint holds up much better than varnish in that area. Jim

I had a canoeing cat but it was so long ago I don’t have any pics. It was totally bonded with my Samoyed it went anywhere she went, walks boat rides, it didn’t matter. Jim

I have an up and down button in the lower right of my screen (on my iPad). If I scroll up or down just a little bit it appears but then hides itself in about 10 seconds. I never use it because on the iPad if I just tap the top of the screen it takes me all the way to the top. Jim

That was the first one I had ever seen so I took some pics. Apparently he had used it on the Yukon river. Jim

Welcome John. If I can state to obvious, and keep in mind I’ve never assembled one but is the frame in correctly and is the cover centered on the frame? Bow of the frame to the bow of the cover? Again I’ve never assembled one. Other than that have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in...

That’s interesting using the string, pretty easy to adjust. In terms of the frame spacing, if you started from the bow you might notice it at the stern when the last frame fairs into the transom (I think it has a transom) it might seem a bit pinched. A batten along the shear should prove it out...

Thanks Al yup the knife came from Norway and is one of my favorites. That was the same for me MyKnees but if I go a week or more I bring something and that something in now that 2” x 3” plate in the middle with the lanyard hole. Jim

Glenn that is a wonderful fireplace for using a reflector oven. Jim I too have a couple Mora knives and maybe four Buck pocket knives. I used to have a Buck sheath knife that I bought in the ‘70’s but it was stolen out of my shed about 15 years ago. Jim
