Some questions, Alan.
What kind of camera did you use to video, and how and where did you attach it? It's not the now-ubiquitous GoPro on the head.
When you ran rapids, did you sit or kneel and did you use a bent or straight paddle?
In rewatching the videos, did you find many things that you had completely forgotten about?

It was an Olympus TG-4. I had a small camera mount that accepted a 1/4 bolt so I just drilled holes through a couple of the thwarts so I could bolt the mount where I wanted it.
I would kneel with a straight unless it was a really easy one
I was surprised to find that I remembered it all very well. Just a few seconds of a clip usually brought back everything.
That trip is the one and only time I've ever done any videography and I'm glad I did. I usually don't bother taking the time for things like that.

The heavyset guy bow lining the canoe looks to me like Ray Goodwin, the famous UK canoeist, canoe instructor, trip leader, author and YouTuber. This seems to be confirmed by the blog of his expedition partner Paul Kirtley, who has published photos of a Ray Goodwin trip down the Bloodvein in 2015. The pictures of the bow and stern liners match the guys in your video exactly. Maybe even the same rapid.
You saw a pro, indeed! I wonder if Ray knows that he did too.
Yes, that was him. He and Paul were leading groups to Canada for a few years. I had no idea who any of them were at the time but I've remained in semi-contact with most of them on FB since the trip. Really nice group and impressive skills all around. Ray has been working on finishing up old projects lately and I think the video for this trip was on the docket but I don't believe I've seen it released yet.
