Recped’s chicken

Looks like some people must just cruise around looking for lawsuits to file. I wonder if they can prove any damage to themselves from ingesting the approved preservatives?

Back to Recep....I for one am glad there were preservatives that perhaps prevented our circular crater explorer from making the chicken fly twice. On the other hand, a solid case of food poisoning or salmonella might have made for a very spicy report. In today's era of social media influencers attempting risqué activities to garner more views, I fully appreciate Recep's flirtation with the dirty chicken, he is a braver fella than moi.

Looks like we wouldnt be able to say either way:

(Emphasis mine)

"Sodium phosphate is an additive used for preserving moisture or color and enhancing and stabilizing frozen foods, according to the National Institutes of Health. The Food and Drug Administration considers it safe for consumption in food. It is also commonly prescribed as a laxative for colonoscopy preparation."

I have personal experience with the use of Sodium phosphate for this purpose having used it for at least 15 colonoscopies over the past 27 years. To achieve the desired results one would probably need to consume a minimum of a dozen Costco chickens in ONE SITTING. As you know there is no way I (or anyone?) could consume that many chickens.

If you are afraid of food additives I suggest buying the Costco Chicken but take the high road and don't stop for one of their cheap hot dogs on the way out....those things contain a myriad of additives including plenty of sodium and in my experience are much more effective laxatives than what they sprinkle on a chicken.
