I made my own wooden decks, used a zig saw and maple for the wood. Turned out pretty good. I have a MRC Duck Hunter w/wood trim.

I use a 21" bow saw bought from a local hardware store, but what you use is what is best for you.

Bushcraft 101 by Dave Cantebury, good book, very informative.

Mike look too Gerber they have some nice River Knifes. I have used a double blade stubby with a plastic sheath that holds the knife in well and stays in the lash tab, maybe to good.
