I've been casually looking around for a decent tandem for a while, and have a lead on a nice Wenonah Escapade in kevlar UL.
Does anyone have any thoughts on one as a dedicated daytrip tandem?
Uses will be two 150ish paddlers, and a little bit of gear for day trips and fishing and general poking around on calm flat water. Hoping for somewhat confident feeling initial stability for the novice bow paddler, as well as good efficiency.
I have a dedicated solo already, so no real need for a 2-in-1 canoe, which I know is a selling point for this model.
Or for similar money:
Theres a Sundowner 18 in the mix, but I fear it may be too much canoe for my uses.
Theres a Polaris in the mix, which sounds great, but it's 62 pounds in IXP with wood trim (both strikes against my preference)
