That is awesome! With the wood only 1 mm thick though, you might want to skip sanding.

You could always use epoxy and laminate your strips together.aybe 5 strips or so will equal .25 of an inch. I wonder if it would turn a white-ish color if sanded like sanding through the epoxy and into the fiberglass cloth?
