Are you saying that Hap is also a proponent of paddling solo from the stern seat? If so how did you come across this?

Perhaps a bit self serving, but I thought it was time to chime in. I designed the Savage River Harmony for use as either a solo or tandem. They outfit them both ways. Mine has both tandem seats and a "center" solo seat. It makes a fine day tripper or weekender as a tandem. It's a high volume tripper as a solo. While not a speed demon, it moves along nicely and is highly maneuverable, in either configuration.
