Turner Lake Loop - Temagami - Spring 2023

I was fortunate enough to do this loop with no bugs and just before the smoke and fires inundated the area. It's a trip with some challenging portages but incredibly beautiful lakes. Temagami never ceases to amaze me.

Going to drive up from Pittsburgh, Pa in mid-Sept to do this route and fish! I'm primarily a hammock camper. Did you have any issues finding sites that would accommodate hammocks? I'm solo.

Steve - I'm just getting back to this site. Didn't make it up there. I kept checking the weather, and it didn't look too favorable, so I canceled. Big mistake, they had gorgeous weather and above normal temps. I need to stop checking the weather before trips. It just snowballs into excuses and reasons not to go. A few years back I had some truck issues in Temagami that were a total disaster (Twinkle Lake Access) and I think that sometimes plays into excuses also. I'll finish that trip this coming year (2024). Thanks for getting back on the Esquif info also.
