Thinking about building a new tandem canoe

I was wondering if Y'all around here had an opinion on the specs required to build a tandem that would be fast, light, manoeuvrable for those tight turns needed on creeks, but still track well. The minds on this forum have more experience than I have so I was wondering what you have to say on this matter. The paddlers would be about 180 lbs each and would like a nice compromise of speed, stability, weight, and aesthetics. The canoe would be kevlar.
Yes, I would design the hull from scratch. I know that I am just a hack, but it will be fun and I have done it before and the 3 boats are still in use and no one was harmed in the process.

I am thinking of :

17' 6"
shallow arch
center depth 14"
4" waterline width 32"
minor tumblehome
max width 34"
width at gunnel 32"
bow, stern height, 20"
differential rocker 3/4" stern, 1 1/4" bow

It would have a permanent yolk and no thwarts as I have found them to be unnecessary and in the way, and I break things that are in the way (or burn them).

If you want maneuverability in a boat that long you'll have to give it more rocker. Here are the specs on the Bell NorthWind and NorthStar. My limited experience suggests that your design should be based on the NorthStar.
