strange but effective cold butt cure

Just got back from a glorious 3 day paddle camp in the adks. I tried an Idea I thought of over the winter to cure my cold hammock butt in cold weather. I have an underquilt, but at the pressure spot under my butt I still got cold. pads inside the hammock are a pain. I bought a cheap xxlarge pair of neoprene shorts to wear over my clothes. Worked great and impossible to roll off or shift in the night.

Miss you out there and had the same problem in my hammock Tuesday night on St Regis Pond. I'll have to try that next fall.

I was thinking as I lay there all snug in the frosty night, if I was wearing a shorts-farmer john suit would I need an underquilt at all?
