Hey all - I realize this is a canoeing forum but thought some of you might like to see some photos from the second half of our recent spring break trip. Capers Island is a state owned, barrier island off the coast just north of Charleston, SC. Until Hurricane Hugo arrived it was home to some hunting and fishing camps. Now, other than two small buildings at the northern end of the island, it's pretty much just beach and maritime forest. We will typically paddle out for an overnight and go oystering (nothing better than steamed oysters fresh from the ocean's edge) as well as do some hiking on the old network of roadways. This year we had some dolphin join us while on the water but I apologize for not being able to get some photos. It was way too windy for me to take pictures while paddling out and back.

That's all for now. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Until then...Be well.
