Alright, I have given up on finding a decent used tandem relatively local. So I'm biting the bullet and will probably just buy new. If so, I'm going to try and buy the ONE to fit my needs best. Help a fella spend his money?
I have a Magic and Trillium now, so I'm familiar with Northstar, and don't specifically need my tandem to be solo-able.
This canoe will see most of its miles as a day tripper/fishing on flat water. Typical load of 320-350 pounds. If I did end up on a "trip" I'd probably never hit the max weight of either boat.
I prioritize efficiency most of the time, because I spent a lot of time in terrible boats before I discovered "good" canoes
The Polaris sounds fun. The NW16 sounds logical for a more all-rounder.
I guess the only real question, is how much efficiency does the NW16 give up to the Polaris with a typical day tripping load?
I read the bow area can be a little tight in the Polaris due to its narrower width.
Any other considerations I may have overlooked?
