We picked up the new trailer and I was excited to try some old Yakima canoe cradles on the square crossbars. I had to trim the round rubber flaps out and the resulting square holes were perfect. Carrying a 3rd canoe will come in handy on my trip this month.
Wife and I went to the factory in Columbus, IN. I’ve been working on preparing the trailer and gear, learning what not to do. I think I’m about ready to go, thanks in part to Amazon. It would have been a grave mistake to attempt setup of the rig on a long trip. I used magnetic screen to bug proof the pass through from the galley to the cabin, but I’m not sure the screen is fine enough for Minnesota or Quebec bugs.
