Well the trip planned for my wife an I only panned out for me as she had work commitments. So my paddle buddy Jake and I went for a week … I think of it as recon for when she and I can travel together next year. We paddled Kings Bay and Three Sisters Spring. We traveled to Rainbow Springs as well as Silver Springs. Jake and I hiked the Crystal River Archeological park system trails as well. We would day trip, then hike a little, then find a nice place to eat supper … there are many great places to eat that are dog friendly and we made a lot of friends with the locals. It was a marvelous way break up winter and paddle again. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Yep we were in the area too
Paddled the Chassahowitzka as its way less crowded area
Silver was nice: didn't paddle up and back Just down. There is a concession that shuttles personal boats
Juniper run nice too ( bit far) We talked tto people with canoes in the campground and set up a shuttle( the commercial one isn't running)
No Rainbow this year but did a bit of the Withlacoochee

Also a bit of the Ocklawaha. The low water made the currents more manageable
