Named for the gathering of migratory birds enroute south or north at certain times of the year we did not see many birds in August.

We camped there two nights waiting for the monsoons to stop!

Beautiful beach with the Coastal Hiking Trail running across it.

First for l'Oiseau here we found this driftwood.

Recent rains have caused a river in back of the beach but in front of our campsite. Here is my husband trying to cobble together a bridge.

Soggy.. I am glad we brought a tarp

Grass circles

still foggy and misty

WAHOO!

I’ve never paddled Superior before, and never likely to. I lack the skills, experience and hutzpah. We have enjoyed some of the trails and beaches though. I never get tired of looking at that coastline. I could sit under that tarp of yours, with hot coffee, fresh bannock, and something medicinal, for a 2 day stretch – no problem. I suspect you had more to explore however, and the next stretch of coast was calling you.
Thanks for reminding of what I miss.
Brad
