Looking for suggestions on a jig or whatever to get the rounded corner groves cut out for the spline.
Someone here must have built seats using a sheet of cane. What process did you use?

Looking for suggestions on a jig or whatever to get the rounded corner groves cut out for the spline.

I have only ever repaired canoe seats but asked myself the same question. I would think 1/4" plywood jig on the inside, then have a straight cutting bit with a collar that rides along the outside edge of the jig.
P.S. The spline comes in many different sizes. Make sure to glue it with a reversible glue or future replacement will be a bit€#.
