Hello, been busy mow,mow, mow; BUT I took my ACA canoe class level 1 out of the Harrisburg canoe club, in Pa. I really liked it I was the only student, so a great instructor made it all perfect. I have had the Nova Craft Prospector out 8 times now. Best to all, Ravenwolf;

Level 1 is the starting point. Often instructors are certified at many levels. But only one level at a time.. I teach level one two and three.. and when you get to three you find out there are many ways to paddle a canoe..

The Adirondack Canoe Symposium has basic and FreeStyle and Canadian Style and hit and switch and perfecting the cab forward stroke to lessen the need for a J. Events like this can be multidisciplinary as there are about 20 instructors on hand.. Often instructors are mulitfaceted but can only do one thing at one time. The Flatwater Slalom is a hoot!

Normal registration has closed but here is the itinerary for this years ACS

Note that each day canoe trips in the Adirondacks are offered too..mostly in the St Regis Canoe Area which is close by.

Anyway Ravenwolf, congrats on a great start!
