Help gauging any necessary repair work

Hello! I just acquired a 1985 Wenonah Echo. Took it on the water and it floats / no leaks!
So now, I’m seeking advice on two “impact” areas that may require some additional TLC. More specifically, one area has a lot of ‘cracking’ and the other suffers from a deep-looking gash. Do I need to take any corrective / repair measures here or is this just patina I can ignore?

I think if you thought boat repair sounded like a fun thing to do that these would make pretty easy projects to learn with.

I also think that if you just wanted a boat to futz around in that you could just paddle it as-is.
