Hi,

Martin here from Ontario. I'm not one to post often (and I tend to be long-winded when I do), but I do enjoy learning from other people's forum posts, so It's always great to discover another source of info and wisdom about paddling and canoe tripping.

I'm just taking a break from packing for a forthcoming 10-day canoe trip with my wife and reading the posts here is only making the wait feel worse!

Willis, thanks for the welcome. My wife and I will be doing some Crown land camping along a stretch of the Magnetawan River, east of Parry Sound, Ontario. Although it's a river trip, we'll be doing it as a loop as the river forks in places and there are various lakes and creeks that make it possible to loop back to where one started without having to paddle back the way one came.

Hi Beavertail. I'm happy to know you've enjoyed my YouTube uploads. It's always nice to hear. I do intend to bring the camera on this trip and and then upload an instructional video or two or perhaps a trip log.
