I don't know why it occurred to me to search for 16 gallon drum, but I found this eBay listing from US Plastics. $70 shipped and to my door in three business days. It's identical to the Harmony barrels, made by Mauser in Germany.

If anyone is feeling brave, I also found these 14 gallon barrels on Amazon for $28 shipped. I called the manufacturer and they said they're gasketed and airtight... They have a much larger opening, which could be nice. I'm not sure if the shape would be an issue.
